Priority Points

What are priority points and how do they affect me?

Priority points are awarded in three categories and combine to establish your “rank” among those who support USA Jaguar athletics through philanthropic gifts, purchasing season tickets and other categories of affiliation with the University of South Alabama.

 

Priority point totals are used to determine access to and seating locations for: Football, Men’s Basketball and Baseball, NCAA Tournaments, Bowl Games,  Sun Belt Conference Tournaments, NCAA events hosted by USA, tickets for away games, priority parking at home contests (where appropriate and available) and any athletic event where demand exceeds ticket availability (i.e. National Invitation Tournaments)

 

Why is South Alabama using priority points?

 

Priority points programs are common in intercollegiate athletics.  The South Alabama Priority Point System will help generate important annual support for all athletic programs, while ensuring a fair process for determining seat selection for football, men’s basketball and baseball venues as well as access to other limited items.

 

How do I know how many points I have?

 

Priority point totals are currently being calculated by the USA Development office and it is expected that point totals will be known by Spring 2009.  In the meantime, you can view how points are calculated by going to Understanding Your Priority Points.

 

How can I get more points?

 

There are three important ways to increase your priority point total.

 

·         Increase your donation level to the JAF by calling 251-461-1366

 

·         Support Football, Men’s Basketball and Baseball through the purchase of season tickets by calling 251-461-1USA (1872).

 

·         Join the USA Alumni Association by calling 251-460-7084

 

Season Tickets

 

When will I select my football season ticket location?

 

To select your seating location, all season ticket holders and donors to the JAF will be assigned an appointment time based on priority points.  It is planned that appointment times will be distributed after April 1, 2009, with the first appointment being after May 1, 2009.  As of April 1 all appointment times will be finalized.  To ensure you of the best possible appointment time all tickets must be purchased and donations made by April 1, 2009. 

*The above dates are a planned time line; however changes may be made based on outside factors. 

 

 

How will I select my seating location?

 

During your appointment time you will be on the phone with one of USA’s account executives.  These account executives will walk you through the best available seats and provide you with the opportunity to select the most desirable location you are eligible for.  Due to the high volume of appointment times, phone calls will be limited to 15 minutes.

 

How many seats can I purchase?

 

There is no limit on the number of seats you can purchase within a non-donor seating section.  However, your donor level to the JAF will determine how many seats you are eligible to purchase within certain donor sections.

 

How do I choose my football seating location with friends?

 

Individuals with varying priority points wanting to sit together as a group can select tickets together.  However, all individuals with higher priority point totals will have to defer to the appointment time of the ticket holder with the lower priority points.

 

How long can I keep my seats?

 

You can keep your seating location on a yearly basis provided you renew your season tickets by the appropriate deadline and renew your donation at the required giving level.  While it is not anticipated in the short term, it is expected in the future minimum donation levels will increase and you must continue to meet the minimum donation level for your section to maintain your seating location.

 

What is the multi-year ticket plan about?

 

The multi-year ticket plan is a great option to guarantee your season ticket price for the next three years and lock in your seating location, provided the necessary giving level is met.  By paying for your season tickets for all three years, you will be awarded with an additional ten (10) priority points, which will help to improve your appointment time.  To learn about all the available options please call 251-461-1USA

 

Parking

 

 

Will every season ticket holder be guaranteed a parking space at Ladd-Peebles Stadium?

 

No.  Parking is extremely limited at Ladd-Peebles stadium and there will not be enough parking for all season ticket holders.  As game-day logistics are finalized, decisions on how best to utilize available parking will be determined.  This website will be updated with new information when it becomes available.  Please check back often for further updates.  In addition, USA Athletics is making plans to provide game day shuttles from various locations throughout Mobile.  This process will be similar to what the Senior Bowl and GMAC Bowl employ for their games.

 

If I do not park at Ladd-Peebles where will I be able to park?

Will I be able to tailgate before USA home football games?

 

Tailgating is encouraged prior to each home football game at Ladd-Peebles stadium.  In fact it is the plan of USA Athletics to provide an outstanding game day atmosphere that encompasses more than the game itself.  With that said, certain rules and restrictions will be in place to ensure the safety of all our patrons. 

 

What do I need to know about bringing my RV to a game?

 

Limited RV parking may be available to patrons at Ladd-Peebles stadium on a season basis.  However, due to the limited number of parking spaces at Ladd-Peebles there will only be a small number of spaces designated for RV parking.  As game-day logistics are finalized, decisions on RV parking will be determined.  This website will be updated with new information when it becomes available.  Please check back often for further updates.

 

Donations

 

How does donating to the JAF affect my seat location?

 

Donations to the JAF play two critical roles in selecting your seating location.  First, your donation to the JAF will increase your priority point total and thus improve your appointment time so you can select sooner than what you would have without the donation.  Second, certain sections in Ladd-Peebles stadium are reserved for donors to the JAF.  To find out what sections you would be eligible for based on your donation please refer to the Seating Diagram.

 

What does my donation go towards?

 

Annual gifts to the Jaguar Athletic Fund help underwrite scholarships, for recruitment of student athletes, recruitment and retention of top-quality coaches and staff, academic support, travel and other critical operating needs. 

 

How often do I have to make this donation to the JAF?

 

In order to maintain your seating location, you must make your benchmark donation on an annual basis by the appropriate deadlines.  Your benchmark donation is the gift you made to secure the seating location you are renewing.
