MOBILE, Ala. ? Due to the approach and threat of Hurricane Ike along the Texas coastline, the University of South Alabama volleyball team will not compete this weekend as originally scheduled at the Lady Panther Invitational hosted by Prairie View A&M.  The Jags will instead head to Lafayette, La., to play a pair of matches on Saturday at the Ragin’ Cajun Classic hosted by fellow Sun Belt Conference foe Louisiana-Lafayette.

In USA’s (3-2) first match of the tournament, the Jags will take on Northwestern State at 10 a.m. at Earl K. Long Gym.  South Alabama will then return to action later that day when it takes on McNeese State at 4 p.m.
