OTTAWA ? The Streaming Sports Network (SSN) will kick off its fifth season of live video play-by-play streaming of Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) action Saturday with a pair of games from the 2008 Can-Am Basketball Shootout at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa.
Coverage of the basketball doubleheader will be available free of charge on SSN’s website (http://www.SSNCanada.ca) beginning with the CIS Today pregame
show at 4:30 pm. (EDT).
The first game of the twin bill pits the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees (2007-08: 25-15) against the Sun Belt Conference’s South Alabama Jaguars (2007-08: 26-7)

re-branded the network, have hired new talent and will nearly double the number of productions we provide to university sport fans this season via our network
of affiliated schools and in the production of our weekly Sunday night show on the CIS that debuts in September.”
Veteran SSN Canada broadcaster John Bower (Gatineau, Ont.) will anchor coverage of the games along with co-host Alayne Crawford (Ottawa, Ont.), while long-time CIS basketball voice Mark Masters (Toronto, Ont.) will call the action.
Making their debut as reporters on SSN this Saturday are Alison Sandor of Montreal, and Joe Fishman of Toronto.
