NATALIE DIXON NAMED SUN BELT CONFERENCE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

MEET RESULTS-

NEW ORLEANS, La. - South Alabama track and field runner Natalie Dixon is named Sun Belt Conference women's track athlete of the week. Dixon ran a seasonal best time of 54.91seconds in the women's 400 meter dash in Oxford, Miss. She finished sixth against college runner and eight overall. Dixon is also the first leg for the Lady Jaguars 1600 meter relay that has posted a mid-east qualifying time.

"Natalie has really come along this outdoor season and has been running faster each week." Coach Lee Evans noted.  “We will now get ready for the Sun Belt Championships where I know she will do well."

Dixon ran 52.22 seconds last season in the women's 400 meters at the 2007 USA Jaguar Invitational where she placed second to former Lady Jag Ajoke Odumosu. The Jaguars will travel to Denton, TX. for the 2008 Outdoor Sun Belt Conference Championships all result and highlight can be access at www.usajaguars.com
