JAGUARS QUARTET FINISHES COMPETITION IN IOWA AT THE DRAKE RELAYS

DES MOINES, Iowa - The South Alabama track and field teams concluded competition at the 99th Annual Drake Relays with Lady Jaguar Clarisse Moh leading the way with a fifth-place finish in the women’s 800-meter run.

Clarisse Moh ran in the women’s 800 meter and took fifth place with a time of 2:10.40. Moh ran with the pack of runners until the last 200 meters when the leaders establish themselves. She leaned to the finish line to edge UTEP runner Kelly Young.

The Lady Jags 1600-meter relay team finished 14th in the preliminaries with a time of 3:47.02.

“Our team could have ran faster, but the brisk weather play a factor in the relays,” Coach Lee Evans noted.

Senior Nicole Knox tied for 19th in women’s high jump. She leapt 1.65 meters (5-feet, 5-inches).

The Jaguars' next track meet will be the 2008 Outdoor Sun Belt Conference Championship in Denton, Texas. Highlights and results can be accessed at www.usajaguars.com
