MOBILE, Ala. ? The South Alabama women’s tennis team improved to 9-0 on the spring with a 4-2 victory Friday afternoon at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts on the USA campus.

With the loss, ASU dropped to 6-6 on the season.

South Alabama will continue its three-match weekend schedule when the Jaguar women host Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday at 11 a.m.

As has been the case so far in every match this season, the Jags came out and set the tone early sweeping the all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 match lead.  South Alabama’s doubles team of Adrianna Solarova and Sylvanie Spangenberg remained perfect as well on the spring (9-0) with an 8-5 victory at the No. 1 position on Friday.

USA kept things going in singles competition and clinched the match victory by picking up wins at the Nos. 1, 2 and 4 positions.  South Alabama’s Solarova, Michaela Babicova and Spanenberg each captured straight set wins to lead USA to the match 4-2 match victory.
