TULSA, Okla. ? The 52nd-ranked South Alabama women’s tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to No. 58 Tulsa Saturday morning at the Case Tennis Center.

USA (14-3) will now travel to Wichita, Kan., to face Wichita State on Sunday at Noon at the Coleman Tennis Complex on the WSU campus.   Tulsa improves to 14-5 on the spring with the win.

South Alabama got of to a good start in the doubles portion of the match, capturing two of the three matches.  After Tulsa took the first match at No. 2, USA’s Adrianna Solarova and Sylvanie Spangenberg picked up an 8-3 win at No.1 and then the Jaguar duo of Erica Krisan/Jelena Krivacevic clinched the point with an 8-4 victory at No. 3 over Tulsa’s team of Alexandra Kichoutkin/Jenna Webster.

The Golden Hurricane bounced back and took five of the six singles victories to take the match with wins at the Nos. 1-5 spots.  USA’s lone singles victory came at the No. 6 position when Krivacevic defeated Agostina Santoro, 7-5 and 6-4.
