SOUTH ALABAMA WOMEN?S TENNIS RETURNS TO WINNING WAYS WITH IMPRESSIVE 6-1 VICTORY OVER UALR

MOBILE, Ala. ? The South Alabama women’s tennis team returned to its winning ways Thursday afternoon with and impressive 6-1 victory over fellow Sun Belt Conference rival UALR at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts.

South Alabama (12-1) went up 1-0 early in the match when the Jaguar doubles teams of Adriana Solarova/Sylvanie Spangenberg (8-5), Michaela Babicova/Katie Welch (8-3) and Jelena Krivacevic/Erica Krisan (8-0) swept through their Trojan counter parts.

USA continued its dominant performance in the singles portion of the match and picked up wins in five of the six matches played.  The lone loss for the Jags came as a result of a retirement.  Solarova, Babicova, Krisan, Spanenberg and Krivacevic each picked up singles wins on Thursday en route to the five-point match win.

The Jags will now travel to Louisville, Ky., to take on Houston on Friday and No. 40 Louisville on Saturday.
