TICKETS FOR LADY JAGS FIRST ROUND GAME AGAINST LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE TO GO ON SALE MONDAY

MOBILE, Ala. ? Tickets for the fifth-seeded University of South Alabama women's basketball team’s first round game versus 12th-seeded Louisiana-Lafayette will go on sale Monday, March 3, at 10 a.m. at the USA Mitchell Center Ticket Office.  All seats are general admission for $7 and tip-off with the Ragin’ Cajuns is scheduled for 7 p.m.

 

Tickets for the women's first round game are NOT included in the tournament booklets and will need to be purchased separately.   Single session tickets for the tournament will also go on sale at the same time and the same location on Monday.  Lower level seats are $15 each and upper level seats are $7.  Each ticket is good for both games of the session.

Tournament ticket booklets are still available that provide admission to all games in the tournament. USA Faculty / Staff receive a 20 percent discount on the general public ticket price.  Lower level faculty/staff booklets are $60 and upper level faculty/staff booklets are only $28.  Tournament booklets can be purchased at the Mitchell Center Ticket Office.

 

South Alabama students can also receive one free ticket with a valid ID.  Tickets for USA Students can be picked up starting at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 3, at the Mitchell Center.  There are plenty of seats available, but there are a limited amount of lower level student tickets available.   Students desiring lower level seats should act fast. These
tickets will be issued on a first come, first serve basis and will be issued one ticket per ID.

 

With its 62-47 victory Saturday night and Louisiana-Monroe’s loss to UALR, USA secured the fifth seed in this season’s tournament, finishing with a 19-10 overall mark and a 10-8 league record.

 

West Division champ Western Kentucky and East Division champion UALR, along with Middle Tennessee, the top three seeds on the women’s side, received first round byes into the quarterfinals.  Teams seeded 4-8 are scheduled to host first round games at their home sites, while teams seeded 9-13 will go on the road for the first round.

                                           

Fans are encouraged to arrive at games 45 minutes in advance to allow time for seating.  JagTran will be in operation for most of the games as large crowds for the tournament are expected.    Best parking is located by the Mitchell College of Business, the Humanities Building, or just west of the College of Engineering.
