BOCA RATON, Fla. ? The Jaguar soccer team fell to Florida Atlantic 2-0 in Sun Belt Conference action Sunday afternoon.
The schools battled to a scoreless first half before FAU scored at the beginning and end of the second half.
FAU (5-8-1, 4-3-1) took a 1-0 lead at the 62:54 mark of the second half on a goal by Ashley Mannarino.
The Owls scored their second goal of the match in the 82nd minute when Laura Hyvonen scored on a header off a cross from Mannarino.
Florida Atlantic out shot the Jags 18-2 in the contest.
USA (4-10-2, 2-4-2) will return to action Friday, Oct. 24, in a SBC match at Louisiana-Monroe.
