WACO, Texas ? South Alabama senior women’s tennis player Adrianna Solarova advanced to the semifinals of her draw but fell in straight sets Saturday at the H.E.B. Baylor Invite held at the Baylor Tennis Complex.  

Solarova got things started Saturday when she captured a straight set victory (6-4, 6-1) over Baylor’s Zuzana Chmelarova.  In the semifinals though, Solarova was defeated 6-0, 6-0 by the draw’s third seed, Lenka Broosova of Baylor.

In doubles action, Solarova and Michaela Babicova also split their two matches on Saturday.  In the quarterfinal round, the Jag duo picked up an 8-5 victory over Bayor’s Jana Bielikova and Chmelarova, but fell in the semifinals of the draw to Kentucky’s Christine Johnston and Alaina Trgorich, 8-6.
