MOBILE, Ala. -- South Alabama runners Clarisse Moh and Micah Tirop posted the top times Saturday to win individual races and lead the Jaguars to team titles at the 2007 Azalea City Cross Country Classic.
Senior Clarisse Moh finish the last eighty meters of the race strong to grab the individual womens title. "I am happy for my team " Senior Moh " this was a good day to race". Moh ran a time of 21.17.20
Last year winner Senior Cassandra Perkins placed second this season in the womens race with a time of 21.42.85. Junior Jessica Miller move up five places to get the fourth place finish with a time of 22.39.72. New Jaguar Louie Faye place sixth (23.36.62) and Melissa Womble rounded out the victory with an eight place finish (23.47.68).
Junior Micah Tirop edge out teammate Antipah Sugut for the first place individual title. Tirop place third in last year race, head coach Lee Evans, "I am please that the team did well to start the season".
Freshman Luke Kogo finish eight place, Gavin Carter finish (10th), Micheal Davis(13th), and Daryl Bosarge(15th) to get the mens title .
The Jaguars will travel to Athens, GA for the Bulldog Stampede on September 22.
