TROY, Ala. - No. 32 South Alabama defeated Troy on Tuesday 7-0 at the Lunsford Tennis complex.  With the win, USA improves to 6-0 on the year and has won its past four matches 7-0.
The match started as the Jaguars swept the doubles point.  Junior R.J. Nagel and senior Dias Doskarayev defeated Irving Morales and Dusan Medan 8-4 at the top spot.  Junior Robert Hodel paired with sophomore Marek Sramek also won an 8-4 decision at the number two seed.  Jaguar newcomer sophomore Craig Dunne and junior Jack Baker won at number three, 8-4.
Hodel was the only Jaguar who needed three sets to defeat his opponent at number four in singles.  He dropped the first set 6-4, but rallied back for a 7-6 win in set two followed by a 10-4 win in the super tiebreaker.  USA cruised through the other five singles matches as No. 20 Sramek won at number three, 6-2, 6-2 over Bona Ung.  
The Jaguars return home to host No. 54 Mississippi State on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Courts.
