LADY JAGS WIN DUAL MATCH VERSUS TROY

MOBILE, Ala. - The University of South Alabama Women’s Golf Team continued its winning tradition from the fall as it won a dual match against Troy Saturday at Azalea City Golf Course. The Lady Jags, who won three of their four tournaments in the fall, fired a 22-over par 310. Troy recorded a 40-over par 338. USA was led by junior golfer Sara Marti who fired a four-over par 76.

“This was a way for the girls to get a feel of the competition and try to get a round under their belts,” said head coach T.J. Jackson.

Behind Marti were seniors Elin Andersson and Michelle Toth and sophomore Shirley Harvey all carding six-over par 78. Sophomore Darah Newell rounded out the Lady Jag scoring with a 79. Junior Sally Miller played as an individual shooting seven-over par 79.

Troy was led by Danielle Skipper scoring an 81 and Desirae Zine carding 83.
