Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts

The Bruce David Lubel Memorial Courts have been home to the South Alabama Tennis program since 1980. Situated next to the USA Academic Support Center and Mitchell Center, the facility consists of two groups of four courts bisected by bleachers for spectators. In addition to the bleacher seats, fans can watch Jaguar Tennis action from the balcony of the Academic Support Center that overlooks the courts.

Just beside the tennis courts in the Health, Kinesiology and Sport (HKS) building are locker rooms, lounges, and coaches’ offices.

Facility Features:
• Daktronics Fixed Digit Board showing scores for up to six matches
• Bleacher seating between the two sets of four courts
• Standing room viewing platform to the north of all courts

Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts Notes:
• Hosted an NCAA Women’s Regional in 2000, the first NCAA Championship held on the South Alabama campus.
• Hosted an NCAA Men’s Regional in 2001
• Hosted the Sun Belt Conference Men’s and Women’s Championship on 12 occasions
• Women’s program has held home winning streaks of 55 and 67 since 2000.

Directions:
The Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts are located at 171 Student Services Drive (formally Jaguar Drive).  From I-65, take exit 5A and go left on Spring Hill Avenue.  Spring Hill Avenue changes to Zeigler Blvd.  At University Blvd, turn left.  Once you reach Old Shell Road, turn right.  At the next stop light, run left onto Student Services Drive.  You will see the tennis facility on your left.
