Cloes went 3-0 in singles and 2-1 with doubles partner Clement Marzol in Peachtree City, Ga., over the weekend to help lead South Alabama men’s tennis to back-to-back Sun Belt titles. Cloes clinched the doubles point with a win in the first round against Troy, and won in straight sets as the Jags defeated the Trojans 4-0. In the semifinals vs. Coastal Carolina, Cloes sent the Jags to the finals with a straight set win in his singles competition. After falling 0-6 in the first set of his singles match vs. Georgia State in the finals, Cloes rallied back with a 6-4 winner in the third set to seal the title and send the Jaguars to the NCAA tournament for the second straight year.
