Jones capped off the opening weekend of Sun Belt play with a career-high 30-point performance to help lead the Jags to an 88-78 win over Coastal Carolina. Jones followed up her 17-point night vs. Appalachian State by shooting 7-for-14 from behind the arc on the road at Coastal. Jones also paved the way for a South Alabama first-place finish in the FIU Holiday tournament by connecting on a game winning four-point play to beat New Mexico State on day one of the tournament. She then went for 19 in a double-overtime win the next day against FIU en route to being named tournament MVP. The sophomore guard from Ocean Springs, Miss., connected on 20-of-38 (.526) threes over the stretch and averaged 18.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
