Carr (7-2) tossed a career-high nine innings, marking the first complete game of his Jaguar career, and allowed one run on one hit with six strikeouts against three walks to earn the win in the series opener at Texas State, which marked his seventh consecutive victory in as many starts. Carr retired 22 of the first 24 batters he faced in the game, with a two-out walk to Ryan Newman in the second inning and a one-out walk by Newman in the bottom of the eighth, as the only setbacks. He did not allow a hit until a two-strike, two-out RBI double to right field in the bottom of the ninth inning.
