Giliomee earned third place in the men's pole vault event and moved from third to second in the Sun Belt rankings with a career-high 5.35m (17-06.50) mark at the 91st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. It is the second-highest mark in school history, and is tied for eighth in the NCAA Division I East Region season rankings as well as standing among the top 15 nationally this spring.
