Barnes batted .556 (10-for-18) with four doubles, three home runs, 13 RBI and four runs scored while posting a 1.278 slugging percentage and .524 on-base percentage in four games last week. He hit safely in all four contests, tallying multiple hits in each game, and drove in at least one run in each game including three multi-RBI performances. Barnes went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and one run scored in Tuesday’s win at No. 10 LSU, and finished 3-for-5 with two doubles, one RBI and one run scored in the series opening win at Appalachian State. He capped the weekend with a three-hit performance in game two, along with a career-high five RBI and one run scored, and a two-hit day in the series finale along with five RBI and one run scored.
