Rubit scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds in South Alabama’s only game last week, a 67-65 loss to Louisiana at Monroe. He made nine of his 12 shots from the floor and went 5-for-7 from the free throw line, including hitting all five field goals and both shots from the foul line after halftime for 12 points. Rubit accounted for seven of the team’s 17 rebounds (five offensive), and is averaging 21.5 points and shooting 73.9 percent in his last two games.
