In just her second weekend of her collegiate career, Alabastro led the club with 2.55 kills per set while registering 28 kills in her 11 sets played and hitting .246. Alabastro also had 18 digs and 10 block assists in those three matches. She was also selected to the Bruiser Showcase all-tournament team. The Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada, native recorded a season-high 13 kills in South Alabama’s four-set victory over Belmont in its opening match of the Bruiser Showcase on Friday. Alabastro also posted a .455 hitting percentage (13-3-22) and nearly recorded her first career double-double, ending the match with nine digs, in her first career start. Against UTEP, Alabastro had 11 kills and eight block assists.
