Leitner was named the Jaguar Male Student-Athlete of the Year, ending his final season with the men's tennis program with a 28-6 mark in singles while going 22-6 in doubles; in addition to earning a bid to the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championships in singles action, he concluded the year in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's final singles and doubles rankings. The Niederfischbach, Germany native was voted the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year for the second straight season, earned first-team all-league honors in both singles and doubles, and was named the league's Player of the Week on five occasions this spring. Off the court, Leitner earned the ITA's Southern Region Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sportsmanship & Leadership Award and was a first-team College Sports Information Directors of America Capital One Academic All-District® 4 Men's At-Large selection.
