Leitner went 2-0 at No. 1 singles — including a win over a ranked opponent — and 2-1 at No. 1 doubles to help the Jaguars win the 2015 Middle Tennessee Shootout, rallying after losing the first set in both singles matches and dropping just five games total in the final two sets combined. Leitner downed Tarun Surat of Southern Miss 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 in the Jags’ 4-3 semifinal win before defeating No. 102 Carlos Lopez Villa 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 of No. 61 Old Dominion for Leitner’s fourth ranked win this season. In doubles, he teamed with Gerhard Gruindelingh to post a 2-1 record, winning 7-6 vs. Southern Illinois to clinch the doubles point then helping put USA up 1-0 over ODU with a 6-3 victory.
