Frechou won the hammer throw at two different meets in two days, setting school and Sun Belt records in the process. On Friday at the Jaguar Challenge, the junior posted a mark of 68.31m that broke his own school and league standards set last year at the NCAA Championships; that throw ranks first in the NCAA East Region and SBC, and is second nationally, this spring. The previous day, Frechou won the hammer throw at the John Mitchell Alabama Relays by more than five meters with a 67.59m distance, besting a field of 32 competitors.
