Ammons continued her strong play since moving into the starting lineup with her first double-double of the season in Wednesday’s 72-22 victory over Spring Hill. Against the Badgers, Ammons was 6-of-12 from the field in just 21 minutes of action, but still managed to record 10 points and 12 rebounds. Of her 12 boards, eight came at the offensive end. Ammons also posted two more blocks as she leads the team with 11 for the season, while her interior defense helped USA set a new school record for fewest points allowed (22), breaking the previous mark of 23 set back on Jan. 24, 1976 versus Spring Hill.
