Valkova went unbeaten at the Sun Belt Championships, going 2-0 at No. 2 singles and 3-0 at No. 3 doubles to lead the Jaguars to their first appearance in the Sun Belt finals since 2007. She won the clinching match in the Jags’ 4-3 win over No. 2 seed Texas-Arlington in the semifinals, defeating Giada D’Ortona 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 to complete a comeback that saw USA fall behind 3-1, then capped off her undefeated spring singles season in the finals against No. 66 Georgia State with a 6-4, 6-3 win vs. Masa Grgan; she went 16-0 in 2014 at the top three flights. Valkova teamed up with Paula Sanchez for all three doubles victories, winning 8-1 vs. Louisiana-Monroe and 8-5 against UTA and GSU as she also went undefeated in doubles this season, putting up a 15-0 record with three different partners.
