Leitner won both of his singles matches at the Sun Belt Championships in dominating fashion and paired with Gerhard Gruindelingh for a doubles victory as well, dropping just four games total in his singles wins at the top flight.  The 2014 Sun Belt Player of the Year defeated Robert Schulze of Georgia State 6-2, 6-0 in the semifinals and Edgar Lopez of No. 64 Louisiana-Lafayette 6-1, 6-1 in the finals while, competing at the No. 2 flight, he and Gruindelingh won 8-2 against Georgia State.
