For the second straight competition, Patterson posted the best men's indoor shot put mark in Jaguar history with a 15.87m heave to finish in third place in the event at the Samford Invitational over the weekend; his 15.76m effort two weeks ago broke a record that had stood since 1974. The senior also placed fourth with a 16.83m toss to lead a trio of Jaguars in the top 10 in the weight throw.
