Daniel capped off her first season this past week earning both Sun Belt Conference Freshman-of-the-Year honors and first-team all-conference accolades. She is just the second player to be named as an individual conference award winner, joining Marie Lirette who was named the league's Player of the Year during the 1988 season. Daniel is the first player to be selected first-team all-SBC since Tonia Hatfield's award during the 1995 campaign.

The Chelmsford, England, native had 12 kills, seven digs and a team-best three block assists in USA's quarterfinal match of the Sun Belt Championships versus Texas-Arlington on Thursday. The tournament appearance was the first for the Jags since the 2010 season and the 14 wins during the season marked the most since the 1995 campaign. She finished the season with 423 kills, the most by a Jaguar freshman and the sixth most in a single season, passing former South Alabama player Joan Hass' mark of 420 during the 1987 season. Her 3.81 kills per set average is also ninth-best in a season at USA.
