Zaharion batted .583 (7-for-12) with a double, a home run, seven RBI and four runs scored in the Jaguars’ three-game series against Troy last week, helping the Jaguars open Sun Belt Conference play 2-1; he recorded multiple hits in all three contests and drove in multiple runs in two of three games while posting a .917 slugging percentage and .643 on-base percentage. In the opener against the Trojans, Zaharion went 3-for-4, scoring two runs while driving in another, as the Jags won the contest 7-2. In the series clincher, a 16-4 USA victory on Sunday, he drove in three runs and scored twice while going 2-for-5 at the plate including hitting the first home run of his Division I career.
