Nixon was instrumental in helping the Lady Jags record a perfect 2-0 record this past week with wins over North Texas (69-60) on Wednesday and Denver (57-51) in the Sun Belt Network’s Game of the Week.  For the week, Nixon led USA with 14 points per game, while pulling down 6.5 boards per outing.  She also shot 44 percent from the floor and recorded five steals and a block.  Versus North Texas, which entered undefeated in Sun Belt action, Nixon posted a career-high 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting, adding six rebounds in 31 minutes of action; 13 of her 17 points came in the final 20 minutes of action as she was 6-for-10 from the field.  In South Alabama’s six-point victory over the Pioneers, Nixon posted her second-straight game in double figures with 11 points – nine of which coming in the second half – marking the first time the Pensacola, Fla., native has done so in her career.  She was 4-of-11 from the floor and pulled down seven rebounds and added three steals against DU.
