MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama Director of Athletics Dr. Joel Erdmann announced Thursday that the contract of head men's basketball coach Matthew Graves will not be renewed.

Graves just completed his fifth season at the helm of the program with an overall 65-96 record.

"I met with Matthew this afternoon and have informed him that I am going to make a change," said Erdmann.  "I have a great deal of appreciation and respect for Matthew and his service to our university over the past five years, and wish him and his staff the best moving forward."

A national search for Graves' successor will begin immediately.
