BERRICK JEANLOUIS INKS WITH USA MEN’S BASKETBALL PROGRAM

MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama men's basketball head coach Matthew Graves announced Wednesday that Berrick Jeanlouis has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the program for the 2018-19 season.

Jeanlouis, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard, currently attends Canterbury High School in Fort Myers, Fla., and will be the Jaguars' only fall signee.

The No. 17-ranked player in the state of Florida by 247Sports.com, Jeanlouis averaged 16.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game as a junior. He converted 60 percent from the floor, 44 percent from 3-point land and 59 percent from the free-throw line.

"I am extremely excited about adding Berrick to our basketball family," Graves said. "He has a tremendous upside from a basketball standpoint as he works on his skills. He'll continue to improve under head coach Darrin Wallace at Canterbury."

Off the court, the Lehigh Acres, Fla. native won the state high jump championship with a leap of 6'9".

"The thing that really stood out to us in evaluating him was the type of character he exhibits and how great of a teammate that he is," Graves added. "Along with his basketball upside, the ceiling is extremely high for Berrick."
