Head Coach Terry Fowler
- On the strengths of Erin Autio as she transitions to a guard: "Erin is making the transition from a forward to a guard. She is a good three-point shooter. If she can come off screens, she'll get some shots off for us. She is also a good rebounder and plays hard."
- On getting Savannah Jones: "Savannah is coming back after tearing her ACL after eight games last season. She is a good shooter and scorer. We missed her last year and look forward to getting her back."
- On what to expect from Casey Ferguson: "Casey is going off an ACL tear during her senior high school season and is just coming back and hitting her stride. She can score the basketball and is more athletic than some would think. She is good at penetrating to toward the basket and finishing at the basket. She is a tough, hard-nosed, gritty player that we look forward to having on the court."
- On Alexis Sykes: "Alexis was a late signee for us. We are excited about having her. She has been battling injuries she has been here. She is a good shooter and a really good scorer. She gives us an added dimension on the court and with putting the ball in the basket."
-
On losing Colby Davis: "Colby was a four-year starter for us. She was a big physical presence being 5'9 as a guard. She always defended the opposing team's best perimeter player. She also came on as a leader late in the year. We are going to miss that from her."
Erin Autio
- On transitioning from a forward to a guard: "I started transitioning to a guard during the middle of last season. It's been a lot of figuring out to dribble again. As a forward I didn't have to dribble or handle the ball as much."
- On what she is looking to improve for this season: "I would like to improve my ball handling, but I would really like to improve my three-point game. I have to improve my shooting as that is a major part of being a guard."
- On the depth of the guard position: "It's going to be huge. We have many guards who can play and compete at every position. We are going to have fresh legs and we don't have a guard who can't shoot a three."
- On the strengths of the team coming into the season: "Our defense is going to be great and we are a very competitive group."
-
On team and individual goals heading into the season: "We want to win a conference championship and go to a post season tournament, that's an automatic goal. As individual, my goal is to just help the team as much as I can and get through the season with the mindset that I want to do anything to help the team win."
