TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Four University of South Alabama student-athletes competed in their last regular-season event of the year Friday, the Seminole Twilight hosted by Florida State.

-Jessie Droogsma set a career-best hammer throw mark for the second consecutive meet and moved up one spot to 14th in the Sun Belt Conference season rankings with a 50.67m (166-02.75) effort. Â Â
-Angeline Smit earned the runner-up spot in the shot put with a 13.16m (43-02.25) throw. She posted a 44.48m (145-11.00) to take third in the discus event.Â
-Megan James finished third in the women's pole vault after recording a 3.76m (12-04.00) height on her second attempt.Â
-Connor Allred was second among collegians in the men's pole vault, clearing a height of 4.46m (14-07.50). Â
