TAMPA, Fla. – The University of South Alabama's Michaela Preachuk completed a record-breaking season Saturday
with a 57.02m (187-00.75) hammer throw on the final day of the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round. The junior's best effort came on her first of three attempts; she was 31st among 48 competitors.
Preachuk set a new Jaguar hammer throw record of 61.50m (201-09.25) at the Florida Relays in March. Three weeks later, she had the longest throw in the Sun Belt this season and broke her own school record with a 61.58m (202-00.25) mark at the Mt. SAC Relays.

Emilie Berge and Sean Collins will travel to Eugene, Ore. June 6-9 for the NCAA Championships. Berge will compete in the women's heptathlon and Collins will enter the men's pole vault competition for the second consecutive year.
