MOBILE, Ala. – As the University of South Alabama baseball team heads into the final series of the regular season at Troy this weekend, junior outfielder Dylan Hardy visited to record this week's episode of "Inside JagNation," the official podcast of Jaguar Athletics.
The D'Iberville, Miss., resident currently leads the Jags and is in the top five in the Sun Belt Conference with a .348 batting average; he also stands among the league leaders with 53 runs scored, 17 stolen bases and 99 total bases. After hitting a team-leading .363 as a sophomore in 2017 — recording 53 runs, 17 extra-base hits, 30 runs batted in and 18 steals — Hardy was a second-team all-conference selection before going on to be named to the all-tournament team at both the SBC Championship and the NCAA Hattiesburg Regional.
In nearly three full seasons with the program, he has helped South to a 111-64 mark in all contests while going 60-26 in Sun Belt play as the Jags have claimed one league regular season title, one SBC Tournament championship and appeared in an NCAA Regional each of the last two years.
