BEAUMONT, Texas – The University of South Alabama women's golf team closed out the regular season with a match play win at the Cardinal Challenge hosted by Lamar University at the Beaumont Country Club.
The Jaguars defeated Stephen F. Austin 4-1 in the morning to advance to the afternoon championship round, which they won 3-2 over Lamar.

TEE SHOTS

-Madison Connell, MacKenzie Peyton and Caroline Berge won each of their respective matches and their combined scores accounted for six of USA's seven points for the day.

-The Jaguars are ranked second in the league as they prepare to compete in the Sun Belt Conference Championships April 15-17.
-Freshman Siti Shaari leads the team with a 73.76 average on the season, the second-lowest average in the Sun Belt individual standings.
