CLOES AND MARZOL GARNER MEN'S TENNIS ALL-SUN BELT HONORS

NEW ORLEANS – University of South Alabama sophomores Loic Cloes and Clement Marzol were voted First-Team all-Sun Belt Conference in singles and doubles, and Cloes was named the conference's player to watch as part of SBC's postseason awards announcement on Wednesday.

Cloes and Marzol each earned first-team all-SBC honors for the first time in their careers, as Marzol was named freshman of the year last season and Cloes earned second-team recognition.

Marzol, a native of France, went 15-5 this season, including a 9-3 record in dual matches. He recorded a win over No. 90 Christian Langmo and went 5-3 in the No. 1 position, while going 4-0 on court two.

Cloes compiled a 24-4 singles record and went 17-1 in duals. The native of Belgium went on a 16-match win streak to kick of dual play in the spring. He put together an 8-1 record on court 1 and went 8-0 in the No. 2 position.

As doubles partners, they went 16-4 this season and are currently ranked No. 39 in the nation by the ITA. They defeated two of the three nationally ranked pairings they faced with their lone loss coming to the Florida's doubles team who was ranked No. 1 at the time they faced off against each other.
