NEW ORLEANS – University of South Alabama golfer Siti Shaari was voted the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Athlete of the Week as announced Thursday by the league office. This is Shaari's second SBC honor of the season.   
Shaari posted a seven-under-par 209, the lowest tournament total of her career, and claimed her first individual win at the Bama Beach Bash as she led the Jaguars to a 35-shot victory. She ranked first overall in par-5 scoring (4.67 average, -5), tied for second in par-3s (2.87, -2), and placed second alone in par-4s (4.00, E) and number of birdies scored (13). 
The freshman tied for third overall at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate with a three-over-par 219 tournament total. Shaari played 36 holes at par (T4), recorded 8 birdies (T7) and finished in the top five in par-3 (T1), par-4 (T4), and par-5 (T4) scoring. She ranks second in the Sun Belt Conference standings with a 73.76 average for the season.
The Jaguars return to action April 9-10 as they travel to Beaumont, Texas for the Cardinal Challenge hosted by Lamar University.
