MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama men's tennis team (2-3) will host Southern Mississippi on Saturday.

NOTES
- The Jags had a dominating 6-1 win over Lamar on Tuesday.
- The teams of Loic Cloes/Clement Marzol and Sacha Modica/Olivier Gingras picked up doubles wins to seal the point for South Alabama.
- Modica, Marzol, Cloes Max Lapraille and Lucas Gonzalez picked up singles.
- Southern Mississippi took its last match over Troy 6-1 on Tuesday.
- The Golden Eagles are 4-1 this season in dual matches.

Head Coach Nick Brochu
On the win against Lamar: "We had a great win at home on Tuesday and we need to carry that momentum over to this weekend. I feel that we have good combos for doubles as all three teams were competitive. As I said before, we have a young team, but we are maturing well. The freshmen are adding great depth to the lineup and they are taking pressure off the top guys. ."
 
On the matchup with Southern Mississippi: "Against Southern Miss, we need to do the same as what we did last year against them. We played very aggressive from the beginning of the match. The doubles point will be very important for us. Southern Miss is the type of team that if you give them hope, they become better players and make the match much harder."
 
On the newcomers: "I'm glad our two newcomers are playing well. Sacha is turning into a key player for us in the top of the lineup. Max has learned a lot from his match at Auburn and he is becoming a more aggressive player."
