MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama Assistant Director of Broadcasting JT Crabtree was on the other side of the microphone Thursday in order to record this week's installment of "Inside JagNation," the official podcast of Jaguar Athletics.

In this episode, Crabtree explains his new job description, a typical day for him when he has to broadcast an event, how he prepares to call a game and who he has turned to for help in order to develop professionally.  Other topics discussed on the podcast include his involvement in sports growing up, his original interest for a professional career, when he realized he wanted to cover sports and jobs he has held in order to reach his current position.

A Mobile resident, Crabtree graduated from St. Paul's Episcopal School prior to enrolling at South.  While an undergrad he worked as a writer and sports editor for the school newspaper The Vanguard as well as for the campus radio station The Prowl prior to receiving his degree in print journalism in 2014.  Crabtree has served as the Athletic Department's social media coordinator the last two years while also calling play-by-play action for Jag women's basketball and softball.
