MOBILE, Ala. – The game time has been set for the University of South Alabama football program's Sun Belt Conference opener, it was announced by the league office on Monday.
When the Jaguars play host to Idaho in the last of three consecutive home contests on Saturday, Sept. 23, action will get underway at Ladd-Peebles Stadium at 1 p.m. (CDT). Â The match-up will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
It will be the earliest start for a Jag football home game in the opening month of the season since a 1 p.m. kickoff on Sept. 1, 2012, when South began the campaign against Texas-San Antonio.
The Jaguars will first face Alabama A&M — the contest can also be seen on ESPN3 — in Mobile Saturday at 6 p.m.
