MOBILE, Ala. – The guest this week on the official podcast of the University of South Alabama Department of Athletics, "Inside JagNation," is Travis Toth, who was promoted to Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs earlier this month.

Toth — a native of Miami, Fla. — came to South in October 2008 as Associate AD for Marketing and Promotions, and in 2015 he was named Associate AD for External Affairs.  Before joining the Jaguar staff he worked 12 years with the Double-A Mobile Baybears, with his final position in the organization serving as Vice President and General Manager.  A 1990 graduate of Alabama with a communication degree, he first worked four years as a disc jockey and sales manager at WCKO in Carrollton, Ala., then held a regional sales position with McAleer Computer Associates for two years before being hired by the Baybears.

In the podcast, Toth discusses what his his daily responsibilities are, a typical day for him during the week, his role in the creation of Jaguar Sports Properties and goals for JSP.  He also explains why he attended college at Alabama, how he went from a disc jockey and sales manager in radio to finding a role in the Baybears' front office, why he decided to leave the organization to join the staff at USA and what he needed to do to make the transition to working in collegiate athletics.
