On getting more goals from the forwards: "For us, productivity is going to look different in each game. If the game is open, it suits us better. If it's not open and a tight match, that's where we've been struggling. It was exciting that we scored three goals in the run of play against an SEC team and nothing off set pieces. We can see how dangerous that we can be and we definitely have the players that are creative going forward. We just have to get the girls fit, healthy and consistently in the lineup. It's hard to make rotations week in and week out when players haven't had the chance to grow and play with each other. There has to be a common understanding with movement and visual cues."
-
On how the group has adapted to what you want to do differently: "The good thing is, we really don't have any freshmen forwards. We have some that are wingers that can play a little higher up. The players that we have are ones that were here in the spring. It's a constant refresher of movement, patterns, triggers and cues. Hopefully we can increase productivity when we get into the final third. Scoring goals wins you games, and thankfully we have girls that can take opportunities. We were off a little bit against Ole Miss, but we had two clear-cut chances to score – maybe the two best chances in the game – and if they go in, it's a different story. We just have to make sure we're on and ready for the games."
-
On what Hannah brings to the team: "If you look at our two No. 9s, Rio and Chardé, Rio is better with her back to goal, she is a little deeper in the pocket and turning and running at players, while Chardé is an offensive threat who'll pin a team back. That's what she offers – teams are scared and will sit maybe a little deeper. If they do, we've got a midfield that's able to get on the ball, shift it and pick a team apart. Chardé creates havoc just with her movement off the ball. She can offer a lot to this team."

On how to bounce back from a four-goal season as a junior: "I've changed my attitude. I'm trying to think more positively and make sure I get my job done. I'm trying to handle adversity better than I have in the past. I've got a great, positive team surrounding me of course – our team culture has improved drastically and I thank (coaches) Richard, Mark (Foster), Rob (Ward) and Kerry (Edwards) for all they've done in helping me have much more positive senior year. I'm really looking forward to the season."
-
On having more creative freedom: "In the past we were conditioned to play a certain way, and now that we've gained that freedom, it helps me thrive and I'm a much more positive player with less stress. I have a better outlook overall."
-
On her goals for this season: "I definitely want to hit double digits in goals and generate plenty of opportunities for my teammates. I want to make selfless runs and help out on defense more."
-
On how playing with Hardy has helped her: "We complement each other's weaknesses. I feel like I might better at getting in behind, where Rio is much better at checking in. She's English, so she knows the game much better than I do, so I've learned a lot from her. We've gotten so much closer this preseason."
