TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of South Alabama baseball team is ranked 19th in this week's
Collegiate Baseball poll, as announced by the organization Monday.
USA (39-19) moved up seven spots from No. 26 in last week's poll after capturing the 2017 Sun Belt Conference Tournament title in three games last week in Statesboro, Ga. The Jaguars received an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, and will play as the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Hattiesburg (Miss.) Regional. South Alabama will open the regional against No. 2 seed Mississippi State, but the game time has yet to be announced.
