TROY, Ala. – University of South Alabama softball junior pitcher Devin Brown was named to the 2017 Sun Belt Conference all-tournament team on championship Saturday, earning the distinction for the second time in her career.

Brown earned the selection after posting a 2-1 record and a 1.54 earned run average in her four appearances.  In her 22.2 innings of work, the right-hander struck out 14 batters and allowed just five earned runs, while tossing a 5-0 one-hit, shutout against Texas-Arlington in the Jaguars' opening game.

She also pitched all eight innings in an elimination game against Louisiana-Monroe, striking out six and not walking a Warhawk batter.
 
The Mobile, Ala., native also earned SBC all-tournament honors as a freshman during the 2015 season after pitching a 2-0 shutout win in the championship game over Louisiana-Lafayette to give South Alabama its third league tournament title.
