MOBILE, Ala. – With the University of South Alabama football team days away from the conclusion of the spring season, junior safety Jeremy Reaves is the guest this week on the official podcast of the Jaguar Athletics "Inside JagNation."
Not only does the Pensacola, Fla., native discuss the iHeartRadio Red-Blue Game — which will be held Saturday at noon (CDT) at Ladd-Peebles Stadium — he addresses what he has worked on individually the last month, what he likes most about playing in defensive coordinator Kane Wommack's scheme, and the differences in spring practice under the second-year assistant coach last season and now. In addition to describing a typical day this semester, Reaves also talks about his summer plans, the start of the Jaguars' 2017 season in September and his role as a leader within the program.

Heading into his final season at the collegiate level, Reaves not only is the Jaguars' leading active tackler — his 197 stops stand fifth on the program's career record list — but he is tied for first all-time at USA with six forced fumbles and 14 passes broken up; he also is in a tie for second with five interceptions. After earning second-team all-Sun Belt Conference honors as a sophomore, he posted 85 tackles with 5½ behind the line of scrimmage to go along with three interceptions and seven other passes broken up in 2016 to be chosen first-team all-league.
