All-Time Series
South Alabama holds a 41-20 all-time lead over Southeastern Louisiana in a series that began in 1984. The Lions have defeated the Jaguars twice this season, after a 4-3 win at the Cox Diamond Invitational in Pensacola, Fla., on March 3 and a 12-4 win at Stanky Field on March 14. SLU has won three of the last four contests in the series dating back to last season.

Last Time Out
USA dropped two of three games at No. 21 Louisiana-Lafayette last weekend, as well as a midweek game at No. 23 Southern Mississippi. The Jags' lone win in the ULL series came in a 6-0 shutout in game two on Saturday, with left-hander Thomas Huston combining with right-hander Matt Peacock.

On Southeastern Louisiana
The Lions took two of three games from McNeese State last weekend in Hammond, La., after defeating Louisiana-Lafayette 15-3 last Tuesday at Alumni Field. SLU is 10-3 at home this season after going 3-1 at Alumni Field last week.

• South Alabama leads the Sun Belt Conference in fielding percentage (.979) entering the week, which ranks 25th nationally.

JAGS IN NATIONAL RANKINGS
South Alabama ranks second nationally in walks (168), 10th in on-base percentage (.413) and 12th in runs scored (225) and runs per game (8.0). The Jags rank 27th in the country in home runs (29).

SWAGGERTY IN NATIONAL RANKINGS
Center fielder Travis Swaggerty leads the SBC and ranks 14th nationally in OBP (.512) entering Tuesday's contest. He also leads the SBC in RBI per game (1.08), ranks second in the league in batting average (.385) and stolen bases per game (0.48), and third in stolen bases (12) and slugging percentage (.604).

JAGS ON THE ROAD
USA is 5-9 in road games this season. The Jags are batting .277 with 24 doubles, one triple, 20 home runs, 85 RBI, 91 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 14 road contests this year. 

TWO OR FEWER TO WIN
USA is 7-1 when allowing two or fewer runs, but is 9-11 when surrendering three or more. 

TWO-OUT RBI
Of USA's 201 team RBI, 80 have come with two outs. Travis Swaggerty leads the team with 13 two-out RBI this season.

LEADING AFTER SEVEN
USA is 14-0 when leading after seven innings this season, but is 0-9 when trailing and 1-3 when tied after seven frames. 

JAGS WITH BASES LOADED
South Alabama is hitting .510 (26-for-51) with the bases loaded this season, led by Travis Swaggerty who has five hits with the bags full of Jags.

RUNNERS IN SCORING POSITION
The Jags are batting .324 (99-for-306) with runners in scoring position. Eddie Paparella and Travis Swaggerty lead the team with 12 hits apiece with RISP. South Alabama batted just .063 (1-for-16) in last weekend's three-game series at No. 21 Louisiana-Lafayette, with Brendan Donovan recording the lone hit with runners in scoring position in the series.

TEN OR MORE RUNS
USA is 8-0 when scoring 10 or more runs this season and 13-3 when scoring six or more, but is 3-9 when scoring five or less. 

HITTING, ON-BASE STREAKS
Brendan Donovan carries a team-best 14-game on-base streak into Tuesday's contest, while Drew LaBounty has reached safely in 13 straight and Will Luft in 10. Donovan also holds the team's longest current hitting streak at seven games. Dylan Hardy has hit safely in his last three games.

HOME RUN PRODUCTION
South Alabama has homered in three straight games, and in eight of its last 10 contests dating back to March 18 at Georgia Southern when the Jags homered three times.

JAG BATS LAST WEEK
South Alabama hit just .238 with five doubles, four home runs, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored in four games last week. However, catcher Jared Barnes batted .500 (5-for-10) with one run scored to lead the team over that four-game span. 

LABOUNTY HEATING UP AT THE PLATE
Shortstop Drew LaBounty batted .385 (5-for-13) with two home runs, two RBI, two runs scored and an .846 slugging percentage and .500 OBP in four games last week. The redshirt junior went 2-for-3 with a home run, one RBI and one run scored in each of the last two games of the Louisiana-Lafayette series. He hit safely in three of four contests last week, including a pair of multi-hit performances.
